The NEC committee under the leadership of the National president met yesterday the 15th day of march 2019 at the Alumni Secretariat with all the stakeholders from Ekiti state chapter of our great Alumni Association to resolve the differences among the executives and members of the chapter as a result of the misunderstanding that ensued among members in the last meeting of the Ekiti chapter in Ado Ekiti which resulted to the purported dissolution of the Mrs Adekunle led executives.
The committee after listening to all parties in the meeting discovered among others that
1. There is no synergy between the other executive members of the chapter and the chairman of the chapter.
2. That the lack of cohesion among the executives led to the lost of confidence on the chapter leadership by the members of the chapter.
That the executives are not on same page with the chairman hence the friction in the chapter which led to some members to unilaterally dissolved the excos without following the due process.
As a result of all the aforementioned above and other issues that cannot be enumerated in this report, the committee under the leadership of the National president, Asiwaju oludotun Adetuberu unanimously agreed as follows
1. That the purported dissolution of the Mrs Adekunle led excos will not stand and hereby reversed because the process do not follow the normal process as stipulated by the Association constitution.
2.That Mrs Adekunle remain the Chairman of the chapter as well as other excos retaining their positions.
3.That as a result of loss of trust, synergy and cooperation among the executives that may be counter productive to the growth of the Association, the committee resolved that since the tenure of the executives of the chapter has expired in line with the certificate of return brought to the venue of the meeting by the state chairman, which put the end of their tenure in 2018, the committee agreed unanimously to conduct election to usher in new set of executives for the chapter
4.That Mrs Adekunle and her excos will remain in office till end of June 2019 and cease to be in office after election that is expected to be conducted at the end of June 2019.
5. That all interested aspirants are free to start showing their interest immediately the electoral committee set out their terms
6. That the following great Alumni have been constituted to be the electoral committee members.
1. Mrs E.D. Kolawole... Chairman
2. Mr Steve Akadiri ...member
3.MR Oluwatosin Sammy Ayodele ... Member.
The meeting was well attended by all the NEC members from Ekiti state chapter, the chairman of Ekiti state chapter and her executives, other distinguished members from the chapter as well as the National secretary and the chief of staff to the president were all in attendance.
